Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026
Timeprint ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by CLEARNEST LABS LIMITED (Company Number: 16900044).
Registered Address: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ
This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have when you use the Timeprint app for iPhone ("Service").
The short version
- Timeprint helps you plan your day and block distracting apps.
- The apps you choose to block stay on your iPhone.
- We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we never use Screen Time data for advertising or marketing.
- You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
1. Information We Collect
a. Account Information
You sign up with your email address and a password, or with Sign in with Apple. We receive your email address (which may be an Apple private relay address) and a unique account ID. We also keep your subscription status if you upgrade to Timeprint Premium. You need an account to use Timeprint, so we need your email address or Apple sign-in.
b. What You Create in Timeprint
We store what you create and tie it to your account, such as your tasks, focus sessions, blocking rules, the names of your app lists, and settings like your time zone.
c. Screen Time and App Blocking
With your permission, Timeprint uses Apple's Screen Time features to block the apps you choose and to estimate how much time you spend on them. Nothing happens until you allow access in Apple's own prompt. Screen Time access is optional, but blocking and measuring do not work without it. Timeprint is for your own iPhone only and is not a parental-control tool.
- Your apps stay on your phone. The apps, categories, and websites you choose to block stay on your iPhone. We never receive or upload which apps they are.
- Usage figures. Approximate daily usage figures are saved to your account so we can show your stats, history, and weekly review. We cannot tell which app a figure belongs to.
- Unlocking early. If you unlock apps before a block ends, we save when it happened and how long you unlocked for, plus the reason or note if you add one. Please do not put sensitive information in notes.
- Your control. You can withdraw Screen Time access at any time in your iPhone's Settings. Blocking and measuring then stop, and data we already saved stays until you delete it or delete your account.
- Our commitment. We use Screen Time data only to run Timeprint for you. We do not use it for advertising or marketing, we do not sell it, and we share it only with the service providers who store it for us (see section 5).
d. Notifications
Notifications are optional. If you allow them, we store what is needed to send them (such as your device's notification token, language, and time zone) and your upcoming reminders, including task titles. On Sunday evenings we send a weekly review summary, which you can turn off in Settings > Notifications.
e. Subscriptions and Payments
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions are managed by RevenueCat, which receives your account ID and App Store purchase information under its own Privacy Policy. We receive your subscription status from Apple and RevenueCat and keep a copy of it (status, plan, and expiry).
f. Analytics and Diagnostics
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used and to fix problems, for example which screens are opened, which features are used, onboarding progress, purchases, and errors. It is linked only to a random ID created on your device, which is not tied to you or your account.
g. Technical Information
Timeprint checks for app updates through Expo. Like any internet service, our providers see your IP address and basic technical details such as app version and platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain your account and the app's features
- Block the apps you chose and show your stats and recaps
- Keep your data available if you reinstall or use another device
- Send reminders, Live Activities, and your weekly review
- Process purchases and provide Premium features
- Improve the app and fix problems
- Send essential updates (policy changes, billing notices)
- Protect the Service and meet our legal obligations
3. Legal Bases (UK and EU)
If UK or EU data protection law applies to you, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Consent: for Screen Time access and notifications, which you can withdraw at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the Service secure and to improve it. You can object (see section 7).
- Legal obligation: for example, keeping payment records for tax purposes.
4. Data Controller
CLEARNEST LABS LIMITED is the data controller responsible for your personal information.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We rely on the following providers to operate the Service. Each handles only what it needs and its own privacy policy applies:
- Supabase – database and authentication (privacy)
- Apple – Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, push notifications (privacy)
- RevenueCat – subscription management (privacy)
- PostHog – analytics and diagnostics (privacy)
- Expo – delivery of app updates (privacy)
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, in which case this policy would continue to protect your data.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Under applicable data protection laws, you may access, correct, or delete your data, restrict how we use it, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent. You also have the right to object at any time to certain uses of your data that rely on our legitimate interests.
Controls you have inside the app and on your iPhone:
- Delete your account in Settings > Delete Account.
- Withdraw Screen Time access in your iPhone's Settings at any time.
- Turn notifications off in your iPhone's Settings, and turn off the weekly review in Settings > Notifications.
- Change the apps in your lists, and delete rules, at any time.
For other requests, contact us at contact@clearnestlabs.com. We will fulfil verified requests within 30 days.
If you are located in the UK or EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account in the app, we permanently delete your account and the data linked to it from our live systems. Copies in backups are overwritten as backups roll over, which we expect to take no more than 30 days. We may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as payment records for tax purposes. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are governed by their own policies. Contact us and we will ask them to delete the records linked to your account.
Subscription cancellation: Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. You must cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings.
9. Children's Privacy
Timeprint is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, where our providers may have servers. We use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent approved transfer mechanisms.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
